Social media community guidelines
The following policy was voted in unanimously by the RNR Board of Trustees on June 20, 2024.
The social media pages monitored by Richmond Neighborhood Restoration are public spaces aimed to promote discovery, discussion, and curiosity around topics related to restoration, renovation, and neighborhood development, and that are in line with our organization's core principles. RNR is committed to maintaining an inclusive, accessible, informative, and respectful space for those interested in our mission, and these channels are intended for a positive and supportive community. We ask those who engage with our social media to abide by the following guidelines.

In order to create an engaging and welcoming environment we expect our digital community to follow these standards:
Failure to follow any of the above guidelines may lead to your comments being hidden, deleted or reported. Moderators may issue a warning, or, in extreme cases, block your account.
Please join us in creating a space that connects our diverse communities, and encourages respectful conversation.
The following will not be tolerated:
- Threats of bodily, physical, or emotional harm
- Foul language
- Pornographic images or statements
- Hate language, including based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexuality, religion, age, education or physicality
- Illegal activities
- Anything that compromises the safety of an individual
- Posts that are deemed defamatory, discriminatory, or libelous regarding the organization's staff, board, volunteers, interns, donors, or guests
- Offensive, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate postings that can alienate constituents or affect the organization's goodwill

- Make all comments and posts related to the topic at hand
- Listen and approach the content with an open mind and civility
- Engage in debate respectfully. We welcome and encourage lively discussion, debate and diverse viewpoints. You can question facts and ideas without questioning or attacking the person who posted them.
